We will travel through four great deserts, very different from each other, but of great beauty. We will start in the <strong>Kalahari Desert<\/strong>. The first explorer to travel through it, the <em>Dr. Livingston<\/em>defined it as \"<em>the saddest land anyone has ever seen<\/em>\"It is not for nothing that the word <em>kalahari<\/em> (<em>kgalagadi<\/em> at <em>tswano<\/em>), means \"<em>great thirst<\/em>\". There live the <em>bushmen<\/em>also called <em>saint<\/em>They are the oldest people on earth and still live as they did in the Palaeolithic era. They speak with clicking sounds, worship the sun, the moon and a higher power from the east, and live by hunting and gathering.<\/p>\n<p>From there we will head towards <strong>Maun,<\/strong> where we will carry out various activities in the <strong>Okavango Delta. <\/strong>That river that, instead of flowing into the sea, forms a river fan in the middle of the desert, breaking away until it disappears, swallowed up by the <strong>Kalahari,<\/strong> in a labyrinth of canals, lagoons and islands; exerting a pole of attraction on thousands of wild animals. From the <em>mokoros<\/em>those little canoes that have always been used by the <em>bavei<\/em> to move between the canals, we can spot herds of elephant, buffalo or impala and the gait of giraffes or hippos soaking in the canals.<\/p>\n<p>We will continue with a very special place, the<strong> Makgadigadi Salt Flat,<\/strong> in the north of <strong>Botswana<\/strong>. One of the most spectacular and grandiose wildebeest migratory streams in the world passes through here. <strong>Africa<\/strong>. Conditions permitting, we will sleep in the sacred <strong>Kubu Island<\/strong>An oasis of rocks and baobabs surrounded by a haunting sea of salt and sand... paradise.<\/p>\n<p>From <strong>Kubu<\/strong>\u00a0we will continue along that mythical route that led to <em>Livingstone<\/em> until <strong>Victoria Falls<\/strong>. Where, if you are still in the mood for more adventure, we propose a <em>rafting<\/em> on the <strong>Zambezi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After two nights of well-deserved rest, we'll head off into <strong>Namibia <\/strong>by the strip of the <strong>Caprivi.<\/strong> We will continue to do <em>safaris<\/em> by the<strong> Etosha National Park, <\/strong>one of the largest reserves of <strong>Africa,<\/strong> in whose ponds it is quite possible to spot the <em>Big Five<\/em>. We will travel through part of the <strong>Kaokoland,<\/strong> the land of the <em>himba<\/em> and of the <em>herero<\/em> with their Victorian costumes, we will continue through the <strong>Damaraland<\/strong>where the desert elephant lives and we will sleep among the bizarre granite formations of the <strong>Spitzkoppe<\/strong> to reach the <em>Skeleton Coast<\/em>It owes its name to the large number of shipwrecks that lie on the coastline, creating a ghostly landscape. The route is completed by the city of <strong>Swakopmund<\/strong>The strange mixture that takes us to an ancient city of <strong>Bavaria<\/strong> embedded in <strong>Africa<\/strong> between the dunes of the <strong>Namib<\/strong>\u00a0 and the coast of the <strong>Atlantic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>And before returning to <strong>Windhoek<\/strong>this unforgettable route will end where the dunes meet the sea, the desert of <strong>Namib<\/strong>. There, photography lovers will go crazy among the skeletons of dead acacias of <strong>Deadvlei<\/strong> or watching the sunrise from the <em>Dune 45<\/em>.
