The stone, as an architect, almost didn't interest me. I was struck by some of the remains of the buildings that are left from the French colonisation, which are few and far between and in ruins.\r\nOn the other hand, I really liked the landscape, the way of life, the pink lake, the Lompul desert, the loving and striking people, the buggies of Saint Louis, and the one we took to see hyenas or jackals when they came out of the mangroves, the islands of Goree, with the black slavery, the shell island, the campsites or lodge, the ornithological and wild animal parks, the trees like the Baobab, big and small, the gigantic delta of Sine Saloum, the mangrove swamps. A variety of original and very different elements. The Ergchegaga Route in 4x4 was spectacular and full of contrasts. From desert landscapes to oasis of palm trees. Palaces, adobe houses and their interiors full of life and splendour.
