Today I am going to try to explain to you, with the help of some of my impressive photos, the reasons why I feel so attracted to this continent.<br \/>\nHere are the reasons why, let's see what comes out.<br \/>\n1.- Because my first years of life were spent in one of the most beautiful places in Africa and in the world, Villa Cisneros, now Dakhla, a small port in Western Sahara, now unfortunately occupied.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3857 size-full\" title=\"\u00a9DESERTANDO\" src=\"http:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict04361.jpg\" alt=\"\u00c1frica\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict04361.jpg 640w, https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict04361-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\n2.- I suppose that for this reason, and for everything that my parents passed on to me from that adventure, is why I have this predilection for deserts, although this one in the photo is not a desert as such (it is the great dune of Merzouga, in Morocco).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3844 size-full\" title=\"\u00a9DESERTANDO \" src=\"http:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/imgp0320.jpg\" alt=\"\u00c1frica\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/imgp0320.jpg 640w, https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/imgp0320-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\nThe truth is that in Western Sahara you can find some incredible places.<br \/>\nThis picture is a ship graveyard in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, near La Guera, at the southernmost tip of our ancient Sahara.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3856 size-full\" title=\"\u00a9DESERTANDO\" src=\"http:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict0511.jpg\" alt=\"\u00c1frica\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict0511.jpg 640w, https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict0511-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\nOr the beach of Cape Juby, or Tarfaya as it is now called, where Saint-Exup\u00e9ry landed and established a base for his flights between Senegal and France, and where he wrote his first novel \"South Mail\", and was inspired to write \"The Little Prince\",<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3855 size-full\" title=\"\u00a9DESERTANDO\" src=\"http:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict0397.jpg\" alt=\"\u00c1frica\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict0397.jpg 640w, https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/pict0397-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3.- Besides, in the deserts you can observe the most starry nights in the world. It is not that what I do is not useful, but sometimes I have doubts... Of all the places I have been to, the ones that have impressed me the most are the refugee camps in Darfur.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3852 size-full\" title=\"\u00a9DESERTANDO\" src=\"http:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/minurcat-2008-chad-209.jpg\" alt=\"\u00c1frica\" width=\"640\" height=\"377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/minurcat-2008-chad-209.jpg 640w, https:\/\/desertando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/minurcat-2008-chad-209-300x177.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\n7.- I also love their markets, with their colours, even though they insist on charging me ten times the normal price for everything, I don't know how they must find out that I'm not from the area. Some of the most famous markets in Africa, apart from the souk in Marrakesh, are the Merkato in Addis, the biggest open air market in Africa or the Kejetia market in Kumasi. In view of what they sold in the market, you can understand why I spent so many months eating chicken every day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3859 style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">11.- Finally, I like the fact that you can still find peoples like the Peul, the Fulani, the Dogon, the Luba, etc., etc. who still live the same way they did 200 years ago, only contaminated by mobile phones, satellite dishes and miles of Bar\u00e7a shirts, (oh shit).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
