We propose a route that will take you to the most distinct area of the Senegalto the footpaths of the village Diola and the region they live in: the Casamanceone of the lushest and most beautiful areas in the whole of the West Africa.
Our tour is a real approach through its villages and above all its people with their formidable universe of colour and traditions.
We will cross the nature reserve of Niokolo Koba through a landscape of jungles and mountains, great waterfalls and huge baobabs, to the remote villages of the Bassari country. There we will visit hidden animist villages such as Oussouye o Iwol where the ancestral cultures of the ethnic groups have survived, almost intact. Bedik, Bassari, Tenda, Peules o MalinkesThe people, with their ritual dances, animist beliefs, and traditional costumes.
After leaving behind the country Bassariwe will enter the Casamanceparadise Senegalese. There we will stroll through the colonial city of Ziguinchorwe will sail the waters of the river Casamance to discover the Karabane Island and enjoy the unspoiled beaches of Cap Skirring.
The route will end again in the lively Dakar where, if there is time, we will try to see the Goree Island or drive along the beach to the mythical Pink Lake.
