We propose you to travel with us along the west coast of Africa; a journey through the senses, following a route that was opened by a handful of dreamers like Saint Exupery o Jean Mermozpilots of the line AeropostaleThey risked their lives so many times, facing the night, the sea or an unsubmissive Sahara, in order to carry the mail between Dakar and Paris at all costs. That route was designed to be completed in less than a day, with relays at intermediate stopovers at lonely airfields: Casablanca, Agadir, Cap Juby, Dakhla, Port Etienne, Saint Louis and finally, Dakar.
We will enjoy from the nightlife of Dakar to the colonial charm of Saint Louis to the adventure of the passage of the Almojgar or the silence of the dunes in the Banc D'Arguin.
The arrival of the fishermen on the beaches of Mbour o Nouackchottthe forests of Baobabs, the history of the holy city of Chinguettithe camel market in Guelminthe colourful market of Nouadhibou or stop time at tea time in the oases of the AmetllichThese are just some of the sensations that we will be able to experience during these 10 days.
No day will be the same as the previous one. Deserts, forests, beaches, oasis, gorges where we will meet ethnic groups with a culture and gastronomy as different as that of the wolof, tuculor, Berbers or Sahrawis. But of all this varied journey of landscapes, ethnicities, cultures, history and gastronomy, three things will always remain with us: the impressive ship graveyard on the beach at Nouadhibouthe entrance to the estuary of Dakhla and one night at belle etoile between the dunes of Chinguetti.
These three things alone will have been worth the adventure...
